“The Mob”

Elite Andalusians are very proud to present their team of wonderful horses and dogs fondly known as “The Mob”.  They help make everyday that extra bit more special.

PRE Quis Quilloso XVIII (“Quis Qui”)

Quis Qui, is known as “Elite Andalusian’s Unicorn”.   He is a PRE certified stallion bred from a stud in Extremadura.  He measures 1.66m in height. His old bloodlines originate from Terry, Daza, Miguel Angel de Cardenas and Yeguada Militar.  He started his life in Doma Vaquera.  After becoming part of the Mob back in 2011, Quis Qui was re-schooled by S-J.  Quis Qui has a loving but slightly revolutionary character.  A great teacher and very precise (also known as Mr, Precise).  He helps each student understand liberty, high school movements and all apects of ridden work. An invaluable member of our team.

PRE Beleño X

Beleño, is a certified graded PRE stallion standing at 1.64m.  Our “grey beauty” was bred by Yeguada Vela Hernandez.  This important stud bred unique horses with exceptional bloodlines over many years.  Elite Andalusians was very lucky to have had the opportunity to continue with their lines. Beleño, is stunning, has a very fun character and expressive movement.  His bloodlines descend from Miura, Yeguada Militar and Jose Luis de la Escalera de la Escalera.

PRE Bodeguero Salvatella

Bodeguero arrived in May 2015.  Each year he continues to excel in his training.  Standing at 1.67m he has developed into a very elegant horse with exceptional movement.  He has an intelligent playful character that loves to be the farm clown. “Boedy” is a great horse for lessons and shows how correct training from the beginning allows the horse to have the softest of movement when ridden.  He floats as does his riders.

PRE Torera LXXV

Torera is Sister to Beleño.  Her sire was a stallion called Echamer.  Echamer won many awards as a certified stallion for conformation and movement.  Including three times winner of the Gold award in Cordoba.  Her great, great grandfather was the famous Yeguada Militar stallion Remache.  Torera is an excellent representative of the breed.  She is a tall mare measuring 17.1hh with correct conformation, type and movement.  Named after Elite Andalusians famous Torero who was originally a bullfighter.  He had the role of being Godfather educating Torera the ground rules when she was weaned from her Mother.  They were great buddies and in the field inseparable.  She is the only other horse that he ever allowed to share his feed bucket.  In 2020 Torera had her first foal Amapola.  Like her Mother Amapola has carried on the quality lines and character which makes this breed so special.

PRE Amapola CCLXII

Amapola (Poppy) is our homebred filly born 29th April 2020.  Daughter of Torera.  Her sire is Ofendido XXXV.  Named Poppy as when she was born when the farm was full of beautiful poppies.  She has superior linage from Yeguada Militar being great Grandaughter to Olympic Oleaje.  Amapola is so special and has the sweetest of characters.  We look forward to backing her when she has matured.

Naranjito “Little Orange”

Naranjito has been with the team since 2012.  A Lusitano cross gelding with a happy go lucky outlook on life.  Just under 15hh with Baroque build.  He is an excellent horse for lessons and gives riders the real feel of a naturally elevated carriage.  One of the most Classical horses you will ever ride.

Mauriano

The real “Jefe”(Boss) of the farm. Mauriano came to us in 2021 as a companion horse for a mare we had in training.  He is loved and adored by all and is now a permanent part of the Mob.

The Woofers

Ernest and Hemingway (Erni and Hemi) are two purebred Labrador brothers.  Born in 2016, they were bred by a private breeder of hunting dogs of old bloodlines.  They are the sweetest boys and just love to have cuddles with everyone.

James Bond 007

James was found as a two month old puppy by the road by S-J on they way back from the pet store.  He is a Labrador and takes his role to please and make everyone happy very seriously.  Where ever you are James will be.

Charlie, Saiph and Vega

The youngest of our doggy Mob.  They were found one night in a dirty bucket in the bin when S-J was throwing the recycling.  The three had only just been born and still had their umbilical cords attached.  We never thought they would survive.  After two weeks of hand rearing their tough characters pulled them through.  We never had the heart to split and rehome them.  Like all our animals they are here to stay. Originally named after stars and were famously called the “Pup stars locally”.  We renamed Charlie as it suited his bossy character better.  Always at hand to welcome visitors and to offer limitless snuggles.

Pitufo (Smurf)

Smurf is a six year old Bodeguero Ratonero.  He was a stray and was found outside our front gates.  The rest is all history.  Another sweetheart that forms a major part of our team.

Carrot

Carrot was rescued along with her five siblings at four weeks of age.  Although very well looked after at the start the original family had to rehome the dogs due to family circumstances. Father was a Shar Pei cross Lab and Mum a fully certified Belgium Malinois.  All puppies and parents were rehomed and Carrot stayed with us.  An incredibly intelligent dog that takes the role of farm security very seriously.

Twiggy

Twiggy a Bodeguero Ratonero is related to Smurf.  Thrown over the farm gate a few years back.  He has a hyper character and unfortunately does not get on with his brother.  However, he makes the perfect partner in crime with Carrot.  They are great buddies and patrol the farm checking nothing is out of place.  We sure know if it ever is.
